Relocation
When administered, all relocations will take effect in Marco immediately, impacting several data points for the staff:

Payment currency | The payment currency for the staff's expenses and payroll will change based on the new country. | The payment currency for the staff's expenses can be selected based on their host and home country's currencies. |
You can change a staff's designated country only if they are non-Expats.
To change the staff's country:
- Go to People.
- Select a staff > Mobility.
Under Country, select Change.
The Change Country screen appears.- Select the new Country and toggle the staff's Local/Non-Local status.
- Select the Effective Date for the change in country.Note: The Effective Date is for recordkeeping purposes only. The change in country will take place immediately upon confirmation.
- Select Next.A pop-up screen appears.
- Select Yes to confirm.The staff's designated country has been changed.
To set a staff as an Expat:
- Go to People.
- Select a staff > Mobility.
- Under Expat Status, select Set as Expat.The Set as Expat screen appears.
- Select the Host Country and toggle the staff's Local/Non-Local status.
- Select the Expat Start Date and Service Type.Note: The Expat Start Date is for recordkeeping purposes only. The change in the staff's Expat status will take place immediately upon confirmation.
- Select Next.A pop-up screen appears.
- Select Yes to confirm.The staff has been set as an Expat.
Once the staff has completed their overseas assignment, you can terminate their Expat status to resume the default one-country designation. The termination will take effect immediately.
To terminate a staff's Expat status:
- Go to People.
- Select a staff > Mobility.
- Under Expat Status, select Stop Expat.The Stop Expat screen appears.
- Select the Expat End Date.Note: The Expat End Date is for recordkeeping purposes only. The change in the staff's Expat status will take place immediately upon confirmation.
- Select Submit.
You can view a staff's record of all country changes and Expat movements in Mobility.
To view a staff's mobility records:
- Go to People.
- Select a staff > Mobility.
Under Mobility Records, select View. The Mobility Records screen appears.
- Toggle between Country Record and Expat Record to view the staff's country and expat records.
