Manage leave requests

Depending on your access privilege or manager role, you can approve, edit, delete, and add leave requests for your staff.



Leave request flow




View leave records

You can view the staff's leave records in the following tabs:

  • People > Time > Time-off Records—view a single staff's leave records.
  • Time—view all your assigned staff's leave records.


Approve leave requests

Who can use this feature: - Reporting Managers - Admin Managers - Time Managers

To approve a leave request:

Approve in Time
  1. Go to People.
  2. Select a staff > Time > Time-off Records.
  3. Select the leave record to view any supporting documents or notes for the request.
  4. Select Approve or Reject.

    • Approve: A pop-up window appears.
      5. Select OK.
    • Reject: The Rejection Notes screen appears.
      5. Enter the reason for the rejection and select Reject.

The staff will receive an email notification of the request outcome and can sign in to Marco to view the outcome as well.

Changes to approved leave

Occasionally, there may be changes to the leave request after approval. Since staff cannot edit or delete approved leave requests, they may approach you to make the changes instead.

Only the leave duration, start date, and end date can be modified. If other details need to be changed, you can delete the request and ask the staff to submit a new leave request. You can also add a new leave record on their behalf.



Edit leave requests



If changes need to be made, you can edit approved leave requests on your staff's behalf.

You can edit the leave duration, start date, and end date. The leave type, supporting documents, and notes cannot be edited.

To edit a leave request:

  1. Go to People.
  2. Select a staff > Time > Time-off Records.
  3. Under the leave request, select (three-dot icon) > Edit.
    The Edit leave record screen appears.
  4. Update the relevant details.
  5. Select Save Changes.


Delete leave requests



You can delete any leave request. If you delete a request, the action cannot be reversed. All deleted requests can be viewed in Deleted Items.

To delete a leave request:

Delete in People
Delete in Time
  1. Go to People.
  2. Select a staff > Time > Time-off Records.
  3. Under the leave request, select (three-dot icon) > Remove.


Add leave records



You can add leave records on behalf of your staff. As a manager, all leave records added by you will be automatically approved.

To add a leave record:

Add in People
Add in Time
  1. Go to People.
  2. Select a staff > Time > Time-off Records.
  3. Select Add New Record.
    The Add New Leave Record screen appears.
  4. Enter the following details for the leave request:
    • Leave type
    • Leave dates
  5. Select the leave duration (Full Day, Morning, Afternoon) for each applicable leave date.
  6. Upload any supporting documents for the leave request, if needed.
  7. In Notes, enter the reason for the leave request.
  8. Select Add Record.
