If the staff's local/non-local status has changed or is inaccurate, you can update it in Marco. It is important to maintain an accurate record in Marco, as the local/non-local status may affect the staff's payroll calculation. For more information, refer to [Local or non-local](docId:1H-nXlao1jybLPN8wv543).

**To set staff's local/non-local status:**

1. Go to **People**.
2. Select a staff > **⋮** (three-dot icon) > **Set Local/Non-Local**.

   The Set Local/Non-Local screen appears.
3. Toggle the local/non-local status for the staff's countries.
4. Select **Save Changes**.
